A: There is a quick way to test it yourself, if you zoom into your picture and are happy with the quality of the photo up close, you will be happy with the enlargement. A color enlargement does not get fuzzier or more grainy when it is printed larger you simply see the same image just bigger including all its pixels, flaws etc. If you zoom really close on a photo in Photoshop for example and you don’t see much pixilation, then you won’t see it on the enlargement either. If you zoom into your photo and you see quite a bit of pixilation, you will see the same on the enlargement just bigger. Enlargements won’t look worse than the original, and surprisingly, may actually look better. People are often surprised at how well they turn out. We do what we can to do pixel smoothing if necessary to give you the absolute best print. Help us by sending the highest resolution image that you can. If you are scanning an image, scan it at 300 dpi (dots per inch). And if you are sending a digital image, don’t resize it send the biggest file size you have.   Note: you can upload images on this web site up 100 megabytes. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU NOT INCREASE THE SIZE OF YOUR FILE, MAKING THE FILE SIZE BIGGER WILL NOT IMPROVE THE IMAGE QUALITY. LET US RESIZE YOUR IMAGE FOR YOU. If in question, feel free to send us your image and we will be able to tell you if we think it will enlarge well. Just put in your notes that you would like us to evaluate the photo for you. A: Yes, however we can NOT promise the safe return of your photo. We will do everything possible to return your original photo (haven’t lost one yet), but we are unable to guarantee it. If you wish to send us your photo to scan here, you will have to do so at your own risk. Sorry, we can not accept photo’s that are copyrighted without written consent from the photographer.   Q: How long will my print last? A: Durability - as long as not wet or in direct sunlight, prints can last many years. Our prints are considered archival (meaning up to 200 years in the dark), although I don’t think anyone has lived long enough to prove it.   Q: Is my credit card secure? A: The transfer of your credit card information uses 128-bit SSL encryption. Your credit card number is also encrypted prior to saving for billing purposes. Even we don’t see your credit card numbers, as they are automatically processed for us.   Q: What type of files can you receive?  A: Almost anything, WE PREFER JPGS. if you need confirmation please send our graphic artist an e-mail. Please just make a note that you want to know if we can handle this file type. We don’t like receiving .tiff files as they are just too big, please save as a .jpg before sending, the print quality will be the same.   Prints on Heavy Duty Artist Canvas Give your digital image that extra something with a photo enlargement on Canvas. Our customers images are reproduced using heavy duty Artist Canvas (20 MIL/500 Microns) and printed with UV inks enabling the print to last many years. We can print images up to 58 x 150 inches leaving a full 1 inch boarder around the print for attaching it to stretch boards that can be purchased at any hobby store. Our prices on canvas prints can be as much as 1/3 to 1/2 of others. We can provide gallery wrapping, you simply need to tell us in your instructions when you upload your image. We print the full order size, (example: if you order a 24x36 you will get a full 24x36 print with an additional 1 to 2 inch white border for stapling your canvas print to stretch boards.) GALLERY WRAPPING: Example: If you have a 30x30 and you need it gallery wrapped the front image will be 30x30, then you will receive 2” of either the image or black for the sides plus some white for stapling on the back of the stretcher bars. See additional description. Luster paper looks and feels just like any High Quality professional photo stock that you would receive from a photo lab. We use a heavy duty 10 MIL finger print resistant paper. Unlike some internet stores colorenlargement.com uses only high quality heavy duty papers. How big can we go? We can print your digital image up to 58x150 inches on a single sheet of paper. Now that’s big! As with any photograph, prints on luster paper need to be protected from light and air. Direct sunlight and air can greatly reduce the time your prints will last. It is very important that you protect your prints in frames and under glass (UV glass recommended) and in doing so your photo enlargement prints can last for years to come.
